How My Faith Rewrote My Reading List
Over the last nine months, my faith journey completely changed my reading habits. As I began reading cleaner romance, I stumbled into the Christian side of Bookstagram, and fell head over heels. My passion for reading was reignited without the guilt that my previous reads were starting to stir up.
For a couple of years I was a full on smut reading, indie romance lover. But the deeper I got into my faith and my relationship with God, the more those choices felt off. (BTW-This is a judgment-free zone! Read what you want ok? But for me, the shift was necessary and I haven't looked back.)
Yes I'm a shop owner, but I'm also a book lover (obvi seeing as this is a whole bookish brand) Sooooo over here you'll find me recommending books that are spice free and Christian romance, with a special love for Black Christian romance authors, because yes, I am a daughter of God first, but I'm also a Black woman, wife, and mother who wants to see herself in the books she reads and the small businesses she supports.

I am a chaotic planner by nature. I need Plan A, B, and C mapped out, even though my squirrel brain will almost immediately deviate from all of them. This book called me out completely. Message received, Ms. Shiloh.
